PhD Researcher | LioniX International & University of Twente

Abhiram is a PhD researcher at LioniX International, affiliated with the University of Twente, working within the MAWI project. His research focuses on the development of ultra-narrow linewidth laser sources in the visible wavelength range, a critical component for high-precision matter-wave interferometry and quantum communication applications.
His work specifically explores optical injection locking. This approach aims to significantly enhance frequency stability, suppress phase noise, and achieve unprecedented linewidth narrowing. Leveraging Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) technology, Abhiram is investigating novel stabilization techniques, hybrid laser architectures, and advanced filtering methods to optimize laser performance.
With a strong background in photonics, laser physics, and integrated optics, Abhiram contributes to the broader goals of the MAWI project by pushing the boundaries of high-coherence laser sources for next-generation quantum technologies.
