PhD Researcher | Exail & LP2N

Greta is a PhD researcher in a joint project between the company Exail and the LP2N cold atoms group in Bordeaux, within MAWI doctoral network.
Her studies were in Physics, with a focus on Quantum Science and Quantum Technology during her Master Degree at Università degli Studi di Milano. Her Master Thesis had the subject of Quantum Computation with neutral cold atoms and was written during an internship at the start-up Pasqal, based in Paris.
Her research at Exail focuses on the study of all the systematic effects that can affect the measurement of quantum sensors based on cold atoms, in particular the DQG. This instrument consists of two atom interferometers, one of the top of the other, that make possible to measure both gravity and gravity gradient with very high accuracy.
In the academic context, she’s involved in the MIGA project, also based on atom interferometry, but with the goal of exploiting this technology to detect gravitational waves. These two projects have a common objective that is metrology study.
